A husband and wife’s building journey

Lot 119 out at White Oaks Savanna is a rare breed for midwest residential new construction. This is a technically correct mid-century modern butterfly wing gable house beautifully situated on one of the largest lots on the Savanna.

Designed and sited by HW2 Design, a very well respected local Architectural Firm. We don’t see these styles very often in our climate largely because the roofs are very hard to drain properly and they tend to hold a significant amount of ice and snow. The engineering is very tricky, which is well suited for the home owner and builder Al Hammel, a well respected Automation Engineer.
